COMMUNICATIONS

The Scientific Committee and the Organizing Committee of the XIV International Mediterranean Diet Conference invite professionals, research centers, academics, institutions, associations, Public Administration, etc. to present at said Conference, communication with the latest works related to the Mediterranean Diet in its most holistic vision (people’s health, planet’s health, and cultural heritage)

PROCESS

The Communications submission period was closed on March 4, 2024.

Starting on March 8, each professional will receive an email confirming whether the Scientific Committee has accepted their communication.

TYPES OF COMMUNICATION

During the XIV International Mediterranean Diet Conference, accepted communications will be displayed in poster format.

Likewise, the best communications will have a space during the XIV Conference, to present their work and share it with the attendees. The best three will receive a financial prize.

The acceptance and selection of these communications will be carried out by the Scientific Committee of the Conference, which will be based on pre-established criteria.

COMMUNICATION FORMAT

The summary of the communication presented must be an unpublished and original work, which will include the following sections:

  • Contact email
  • Title
  • Authors
  • Institution
  • Objectives
  • Materials and methods
  • Results
  • Conclusions

The last four parts are limited to 200 words in total.

REGULATIONS OF THE CALL FOR COMMUNICATIONS

  1. Only communications submitted through the Conference website will be accepted. Abstracts sent by email, fax, or postal mail will not be accepted.
  2. Priority will be given to works that address the topics covered in the XIV International Mediterranean Diet Conference.
  3. The works must be original and have never been presented at another conference. Communications that have been published in a scientific journal in the same year as the congress will be accepted.
  4. Only those communications in which at least one of the authors has registered for the XIV International Mediterranean Diet Conference will be accepted.
  5. The number of communications sent by the same principal author is limited to a maximum of two.
  6. Communications must contain all the required information: contact email, title, authors, institution, objectives, material and methods, results and conclusions; not exceeding 200 words in the sections of objectives, material and methods, results and conclusions in total.
  7. It should not include tables or images.
  8. No abbreviations or diminutives will be used.
  9. The communication can be presented in Spanish or English, the official languages of the XIV International Mediterranean Diet Conference.
  10. It is recommended to review carefully the abstract before submitting it.
  11. The summaries of the communications presented will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee and may be sent to external evaluators. Authors will be informed of the acceptance or rejection decision after review.
  12. The acceptance of the communications by the Scientific Committee will be notified by mail and the poster must be sent in digital format (the resolution must be 300 dpi) to congreso@fundaciondietamediterranea.org, before March 15, 2024. Once finished this period will no longer be accepted and will not be presented in the Conference.
  13. The best communications will have the opportunity to defend their work to the congressmen of the XIV Conference. An email will be sent to you with the corresponding information.
  14. The communications accepted by the Scientific Committee must be presented in physical format on March 20 at the time indicated below. Once this period has expired, they will no longer be accepted and will not be presented at the Conference.
  15. The printing of the posters will be the responsibility of the attendees who present them and must respect the measurements of 90x170cm (vertical orientation).
  16. All Communications in poster format will be presented on the XIV International Mediterranean Diet Conference website.
  17. The prizes for the three best communications will be €600 (first prize), €300 (second prize) and €250 (third prize).
